Jillayeh is a piece of clothing, was worn by Palestinian women in some villages, made from a navy color of fabric with short sleeves or sleevless sometimes that has a front opening from the waist down to the hem. Underneath was worn a plain cotton dress with long sleeves that extended beyond the short sleeves, it was heavily embroidered with silk thread in cross-stitch. in the 1920s and early 1930s the most striking facts was that the jillayeh went out of fashion and was replaced in importance by several white thoubs with no front slits.
For the importance of this piece, we wanted to reintroduce it in a modern way that we hope you love to wear nowadays. The chestpanels used are from Mzer'a - Lydda and Emmuas- Ramleh.
