We used a simplified traditional embroidery motif used in one of the Jaffa area dresses, with an iteration of the original rectangular chest panel, the new one used is taking the shape of an inverted pyramid.
The flower branch embroidery motif decorated the lower part of the dress from both the front and the back, adding more dense hand-embroidery stitches to fill the sides and the back panel.
The lower part motifs resemble the disc of feathers, the cypress trees, the stars, and flowers, on the sleeves we added the star's disc, and the orange blossom branch.
We used the traditional colors of embroidery to imitate the original thobe.
The dress is fully hand-embroidered by Saru fashion elite team in Gaza refugee camp - Jerash, Jordan.
The time needed for completion is 3-4 weeks.
